King Tycoon, affectionately known at Racing Hearts as Bailey, is one of the true all-rounders of our herd.

Before beginning his second career, Bailey raced as King Tycoon, an Australian-bred Thoroughbred by Written Tycoon out of Rocktruder. After 22 starts on the track, including 2 wins and 5 placings, he found a new purpose as a riding and therapy horse.

Today, Bailey is one of our superstar leadline horses, especially for bigger riders and participants in our Riding for the Disabled and supported riding programs. His height and size make him an incredibly important horse in our herd, while his kind, steady nature helps riders feel safe, supported and capable.

Bailey is also a lovely partner for beginner through intermediate riders, helping them build confidence, balance, communication and independence in the saddle. He is currently learning to neck-rein, an important skill that will allow him to better support riders who cannot use both hands.

Sponsoring Bailey helps support his feed, hay, veterinary care, farrier work, dental care, bodywork and day-to-day wellbeing, allowing him to continue helping riders of all ages and abilities learn, grow and connect.

What Sponsorship Helps Cover

When you sponsor a horse at Racing Hearts McIntyre Centre, you are helping provide the care, feed, health support, and training that allows these horses to continue changing lives. Your support helps retired racehorses find purpose, helps participants access meaningful programs, and helps keep this Centre alive for the community.
